Werm does not know how to interact with other people and lives a sheltered life. He has a very hard time understand and adjusting to the concepts of no accountability or responsibility.
It is difficult, if not impossible, to try to sway his opinions to that of the masses. He still believes in ethical responsibility and not short term gains.
